You could get up to $6,000 for switching to an electric heat pump from a fossil fuel heating source.
Ductless multi-split heat pump
HSPF ≥ 10.00 and SEER ≥ 16.00 or HSPF2 ≥ 8.50 and SEER2 ≥ 15.20**

Upgrade to an efficient Heat Pump System to save on utility bill and qualify for rebates.
Note: Existing wood/solid fuel heating system may be retained in safe and working order or removed. If you are keeping your wood or solid fuel heating system, you must submit a copy of an inspection report completed by a (WETT)-certified professional.
Homes switching from a fossil fuel (oil, propane, or natural gas) space or water heating system to a heat pump may be eligible for $500 for an Electric Service Upgrade to 100, 200, or 400 amp service.

Income-qualified applicants can receive a rebate of as much as $16,000 to switch to high-efficiency heat pumps in homes currently heated with oil, natural gas, and propane. Rebate coverage is based on the combined income of all adults in your home and how many people livingin your home, including adults and children. Rebate income levels range from $47,007 - $99,891 (one person household)

When you connect to gas and replace your home’s oil or propane primary space heating system with an eligible ENERGY STAR® high-efficiency natural gas furnace, boiler or combination heating and hot water system, you could get a rebate of up to $3,800 ($2800 rebate + $1000 bonus). Additional rebate of $250 is available when you install an eligible natural gas fireplace at the same time. *Requires a pre-qualification code before Dec 31, 2024. Install a FortisBC eligible EnerChoice® natural gas fireplace, in addition to installing an eligible furnace, boiler or a combination heating and hot water system.
Install an eligible water heater system, in addition to installing an eligible furnace or boiler Replace your aging water heater with a qualifying natural gas ENERGY STAR model and you could save on energy costs, plus you’ll be eligible for rebates.
